On Thursday, October 6th at the Skagit Casino, Secret Harbor held it's 7th Annual
"Celebrating Success" Fundraiser. 140 people attended the dinner and silent auction which featured Susan Dreyfus, Secretary of Washington State Department of Social and Health Services who spoke about the importance of Secret Harbor and other non-profit agencies who provide excellent services to abused children . Melanie Mohammad, Board Treasurer spoke about her personal experience in Foster Care. A new video featuring three Secret Harbor success stories premiered. Recent Grant Award
Secret Harbor has recently received a $5,000 grant from Wells Fargo to support the agency's general operations. Wells Fargo Foundation is a long time supporter of Secret Harbor. Mark Dederer, Vice President, Wells Fargo Foundation, announced the current grant in a letter to the agency.
In announcing receipt of the grant award, Brian Carroll, President and CEO stated, “Our programs provide safe places for distressed children to develop healthy relationships, build on their own strengths and experience success. All of us here at Secret Harbor very much appreciate Wells Fargo’s continuing support of our work to restore these kids’ laughter, dignity and place in the community.” |
