Rich Hanson
Vice President and Director of Residential Programs

Rich Hanson has been involved in residential treatment for over 15 years as a behavioral specialist, child care worker, educator, and supervisor. As Director of Residential Programs, Rich supervises the overall Cypress Island Residential Treatment Program. He also coordinates with the local Anacortes School District for the on-site education program.

Rich has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound (1978) and a Washington State Teaching Certificate from Western Washington University (1987). He earrned a Special Education Endorsement from the State of Washington. Rich Received his Master's Degree program at Western Washington University.

Rich and his wife live in rural Skagit County. He enjoys the outdoors and fishing in fresh water streams and lakes.
